Work is sending me home

I took a "sick" day yesterday. I actually did feel a little sick, but it was mostly a mental health day.

I came in to work today, and they're sending me home. My CWs say I look terrible.  

I am happy to go home, yet I am concerned at looking so bad when I'm only mildly under the weather. Granted I'm not wearing make up, but come on.

Maybe a strapless bridesmaid dress is the least of my worries? Hmmm....

Note to self: improve beauty regimen

Hmm, well at least you can enjoy the day off! Maybe some pampering is due - bubble bath, facial, mani/pedi, massage?

i had an experience like this recently when a coworker said "wow Roshontia, are you feeling ok?"  i responded saying i had a headache but was otherwise in tip top shape.  he replied with "well, maybe i've just never seen you without your makeup...that makes you think doesn't it?"  i wanted to put my ballpoint pen through his neck!

Don't feel bad... I look like death warmed over when I go makeup-less because I'm so fair-skinned!  I only subject a select few to THAT treat - poor DH for having to wake up next to that horror. ;)

If it helps any, I'm off sick today too because I woke up with a fever and awful sore throat... just think of the sleep you could catch up on this afternoon!
