Inexpensive, good quality luggage?

Any recs on a good place to buy luggage that will last a while and is not too pricey?

Thanks!

I second the Marshall's rec.  I got some nice Delsey luggage there a couple of years ago for cheaper than the Macy's 50% off sale.

Ditto.  I traveled for work weekly for years and these stores are where I always got my luggage.  They get so beat up and i don't need a whole matching set.

Yeah, I got two suitcases at Marshalls 9 years ago for a fraction of the Macys cost and they are still in great condition.  They don't match, but who cares?  Besides, I rarely take both with me, anyway.

We got my mom a set of Swiss Army luggage at Costco - I think it was about $200 for the whole set, from giant to little tote. It's held up very well.

Ditto. I have a large, dark purple RL bag from Marshall's. I've had it since early college and it still looks good (a bit worn on the corners from the luggage handlers) but its still strong and durable and I paid ~$50 for it. I know its mine (hello, purple!) and I haven't needed another bag since I bought it. Why waste a ton of $$$?

Another rec for TJ Maxx or Marshalls. That's where I buy all of my luggage.

JCPenney, they are always having sales on their luggage (and they also sell samsonite and the higher brands.) I guess it also depends on how long you need/want it to last. I got a brand from there called Protocol.  It worked really well for about 5 years with frequent traveling for both my DH and I for work and leisure and held up really well.  We can still technically use them (6 years we have had them) but the expandable zipper on the big one broke (so it si always expanded) and I feel that the handle bars may show through on the carry on size one.

My other suggestion would be Elder-Beerman during one of their sales.  You can often find some steals there (I just bought a Spinner Samsonite for $40, originally $150.)

I second PP re JCPenney. We waited till they had a sale and paid $70 for a six piece set that was originally more than $300. It was also named Protocol as pp mentioned...so far so good!!

You're going to laugh but:

Target has some Swiss luggage.  We bought a small rolley bag there and it has survived 4 trips w/o issue.
