****2009 D&R Ornament Exchange Info****

It's getting to be that time of year again...When we start thinking about doing our annual D&R Ornament Exchange! ;)

I am going to be organizing it this year, so if you have any questions that are not addressed below, feel free to contact me! :)

Signup Deadline:  October 31st, 2009

Mailing Deadline:  December 5th, 2009
(I have made this early December because we all know the mail can be slow near the Holidays, and we wouldn't want anyone's ornaments arriving after the Holidays were over!) ;)

Spending Limit:  $20

How to Sign up:  In an email with the Subject Line of your NEST Name, please include the following information for your Nestie - Real Name, Address, and any information you would like to share with your Nestie (i.e., if you like glass, traditional, modern, metallic ornaments, etc.)  :)  Send this email to:   2009exchange @ jennybeeb . com (without the spaces)

For those who have never participated before:

What is the Ornament Exchange?
Everyone who is interested in participating will submit their information to me (information on how to do this is listed above)by Oct. 31st, and at that point I will pair you up anonymously with another Nestie and send you the information. You then go out and get as many ornaments for your Nestie as you want without going over $20 (You can spend it all on one ornament, or you can spend it on 5 or 10 ornaments - as long as you stay within the limit!).  All ornaments should be sent out by the Dec. 5th deadline so that every Nestie receives theirs in a timely fashion and are able to hang it up or display it for the Holidays! :)

If anyone has any questions, feel free to page me on D&R or email me at the above email address! :)

Are we not using elfster?  Most of us are already registered on that site from the previous exchanges.

I would definately be interested if it was only open to regulars... last year I sent mine out and never received a thank you or anything and then received a couple of really cheap ornaments from who knows way late.  Just seems like it's so easy for anyone to sign up, receive free ornaments and since no one really knows them, they get out of it.  Just my thoughts!

I can most definately understand that, and that is very frustrating!!  But I think that's just kind of the risk that you take when ever you sign up to do any kind of exchange, be it with people you don't see like here or even the ones you do, in an office or neighborhood.  It doesn't make it acceptable, but that's just how some people are I guess.  Sigh!!!

I am fairly new, and was hesitant to want to participate---though I promise to participate properly-- but what is Elfster that other people are talking about?

i perfer elfster too; just knowing that you can kinda see what others are thinking (questions) and who all is participating is better for me than just hoping my name got to someone.

I would think by one person handling everything vs. using elfster would make things alot easier since nobody would have to wait forever for their nestie to give them their info. Plus if someone f*'s up we can call them out on it since we have to use Nest names.

I didn't participate in the fall exchange since I didn't want to make somebody buy me boring unscented candles so I'm so glad I can participate in this exchange and I'm hoping to get someone who I actually see on here.

Lauren :)

I wasn't a regular on here when I signed up for the Fall Candle/Tart Exchange.  Well, I'm still not a regular.  But I sent my person something!

That's awful, though.
