Need to find a job- Moving scared!

My DH was offered a great job for us to make the move back home to Cleveland. Now I am getting so nervous that my work wont have a position for me there, They have an office in Cleveland but its fully staffed. I have been searching the job sites (monster etc) and there really isnt much to choose from. I work in logistics and have been with my company for 8 years. I dont want to leave them, I really like my company. DH wont accept a job until I have one. I am just feeling really pressured right now. I am sure it will all work out but i just hate this feeling I have right now.....

I can understand you feeling scared, I would be as well.  It's great that dh has decided he won't take a job unless you have one.  I hope everything works out for you and I'll send some job dust your way!  Good luck!

(I'm sure you've probably already thought of this, but..)

Have you spoken to someone in your local HR and asked them to contact someone in Cleveland's HR?  When I was in banking, I needed to transfer (or find another job, like you) and I couldn't find anything where I was moving to (since most banks don't post their positions on the traditional job sites).  I called my HR and they decided to create a new position because the office I was moving to was growing just a bit and they could justify hiring another person.  If you're a valuable member of the company and you express to them that you like working for them and you'd really like to be able to stay, they might be able to work something out.  Good luck!  I know it's tough to change jobs, especially when you don't really want to!

Don't just go by what is posted on the boards. Make sure you get your resume out there so they can find you. Start networking, maybe ask the girls up there if they know of any job opeings. If you need an extra set of eyes on your resume let me know. (I'm a recruiter so resumes are my obsession.)
