I'm making meatballs in the crockpot tomorrow.  I cheated and bought some from Meijer, but I'm putting 2 small jars of chili sauce and grape jelly.  It sounds kind of weird, but it is delicious!

What about pulled pork?  You'd want to cook and pull it the day or so ahead of time, then put it in the crockpot with some barbecue sauce the day of the lunch.  Serve with rolls.  It's so good, and it makes so much food.

do you want to make a vegetable? people at DH's office almost never bring in a veg (outside the possible potato) unless it is swimming in cream of's so he really wanted to take a veg one time when they were doing an italian theme so we made marsala carrots and put them in the smaller crockpot and they got devoured and they couldn't possibly be simpler...

[of course now a lot of people are doing salads but he expects that to die down again with the fading of summer...]
