Palin freaks me out.

I'd love to hear why she shouldn't?

LOL... every time i see them, i feel like it is some really elaborate SNL skit.  It's all so ridiculous, it can't POSSIBLY be real.

Dear Santa, Charlotte thinks you're okay. Katie thinks you stink.

Ditto to all!!!  Although, the more I hear, the less scary she is, really just more comical.  It just won't be so comical if she ends up the VP.  I just don't see that happening.

OK.  With the # of views, we're obviously interested. Let's discuss.  I really don't get this chic AND I'd really appreciate the opinions of women who do. Share. Please.

I am afraid to be so confident.  That's sad. But thanks for encouraging the cause.

Hope you're feeling well.  :)

It freaks me out that she is a heartbeat away from being the president of this country if the republicans win this Nov. I dont hate McCain at all. I dont agree with him 100% but I wasnt scared of him winning but with this VP along for the ride it changes everything for me.

For a long time I thought about McCain - as a liberal democrat - I say that honestly.  But with this choice, I am so confused.  Not confused about who I am voting for (THAT is really clear to me) BUT what do people see in Palin? SHE CAN RUN THE COUNTRY! Hello.

I'm actually not into getting into a debate.  The last few days have been enough and no one is changing anyone's mind.  I was actually with a girl and my friend's dad today who were gushing about how great it is that Palin's daughter is having the baby and marrying the guy.  Yeah, it's a great idea for 17 yr olds to get married.  So, having had to listen to that today, I see that there is just no arguing.  The people that get her, get her.  The ones, like me, who don't, just don't.  You just have to hope there's more of "us" then "them".

I SO don't want to argue. OMG, really NO arguing in this post.  I just DON'T get it.  I am dumbfounded.  For real.  Politics aside. What does Palin sell?

She is a woman, she's reasonably young and attractive, which will sway more people than you'd think.  She appeals to the group that McCain SORELY needs and is not overly popular with, the religious right, because she is 100% pro life (and pro guns, which doesn't hurt).  Like TSD said, that group is thrilled she has a 17 year old PG daughter who is getting married and raising the baby - she kept the baby, didn't even consider abortion (same with Palin's child who has Down's Syndrome.)

I don't think McCain is that foolish to belive she would get Hillary voters (though the press wants you to believe that).  This woman is just the Anti-Hillary.

Yeah, but the people who are into her will totally take offense to this because they get her and LIKE for all she stands for.  Of course it will turn into an argument.  Did you SEE the Wrys vs Hokie thing yesterday????  (Obviously there were more people involved)....I wouldn't touch that one with a ten foot pole.  All I can say that is the least offensive is that *I* personally do not get it, there's no arguement in her favor that would MAKE me get it, I'm glad for what *I* think it's going to do "for" (against) McCain's campaign and the chips will fall where they may- I just think (and hope) it will be in Obama's favor.

OMG how can anyone think its great that a 17 yr old is getting married? HELLO she should be watching gossip girl and talking on the phone with boys, not playing house with a real husband and child. Ok sorry I know there is no debating this issue I just cant believe anyone would be "happy" about her choice.

Well, you would have thoroughly enjoyed Howard Stern's take on her/the situation this morning.  I did.

What did Howard say? I pay a lot for Serious radio (is that how you spell it?) and I obviously don't listen.  LOL. This post is funny.

On the news tonight, they were interviewing delegates at the convention and one woman's exact words, with a HUGE SMILE on her face was, I think it's wonderful her daughter is five months pregnant because I am so pro-life.

We live in a NJ bubble.  It is a whole different world in the rest of the country.

You know what i find ironic?

Earlier this year in Alaska Palin cut funding for teen mothers by 50%!

Now of course her daughter wont need the funding because mom and dad will support the baby...BUT it is ironic to me!@
