Lost : please spoil the series for me!

I have always been curious, but never watched...I know they are all on an island and there's something wierd with numbers...but that's really all I know.  Have they given any answers yet?  Hasn't this show been on for like 5 years, doesn't it drive you crazy not knowing what's going on??  I just always hear people talking about how confusing it is, and I know that I wouldn't have the patience...

Thanks!!

Watch it.  From the beginning.  It's definitely confusing, but that's kind of the show's deal.  Stick with it and it's TOTALLY worth it.

I'm not spoiling anything for you because I would be robbing you of the entire series.

There is a great video called Lost in 8:15, which summarizes Seasons 1 through 3 in just eight minutes and 15 seconds.

As for Seasons 4 and 5, you can probably read about them on Wikipedia or read episode summaries on the Lost website.

But the 8:15 video is really worth watching.

in truth, i'm not sure we could spoil anything for you.  a lot of the answers we've gotten so far are for more minor mysteries regarding the show, ones that someone who hasn't seen any of the show probably wouldn't really get. of course, they haven't revealed all of the big answers since they have a whole new season to get through.

Watch it from season one....it's amazing!  and you really have to pay attention to details.

Nobody knows what's going to happen next though although I'm sure everyone has their theories...but I don't think they would mean anythign to you until you've watched it.

There are too many details in the show to be able to spoil it for you.

The show is really worth watching. Everyone I know that has watched it from season 1 has become addicted.

If you can rent the dvd's of all the seasons, it's definitely worth watching.

There are times when it's a bit confusing, but it's not that hard to follow, just a lot of mystery.

Ladies- I work full time and have a 7 month old baby!  And it's football and basketball season!  And I have a full DVR every week that I barely get to watch!  I don't have the TIME to watch it all!!!

Weemz-I will try to find that video...if I can watch 3 seasons in 8 minutes, that's right up my alley Wink

Right - if there's 1 big secret about the island, it hasn't been revealed yet. This coming season starts in January and will be the final season, so I'm sure we'll know more after that!

It's way too complicated to just spoil. Like most shows on TV, it's about the journey, not about the theme, which has changed about 70 bazillion times. It would be like saying HIMYM is about Barney's sex foibles and eventually they'll show how someone met someone's mother. That kind of kills the whole point of the show, doesn't it?

If you don't have time to watch it now, I'd really say to save it and start from the beginning when you do have time.  Even if it takes longer, I can guarantee if you watch an eight minute summary of five years of LOST you won't enjoy/understand/respect/appreciate the show at all.  Don't even bother.

Agreed.

Maybe rent the DVDs over the summer when no other good tv or sports are on....an episode or 2 a week will go a long way.  The show is too great to ruin for you and people who pick it up late don't understand the background and have too many questions.
