essay help

I have to wite two essays for scholarship money.  On the application it just says to write an essay about xyz. There is nothing saying how many words it should be.  What is the typical length of an essay? I was thinking 300 words. Is that too much or too little?

I think 500 is typical. That's usually about a page typed out.

There should be a number that you can call for information....I suggest calling the number ask them that question AND ask them if they have any tips!

I agree, I would stick with 1 page in length total.

It should be as long as it takes to get your point across. I would say about 500 to 700 words.

I think I'd probably not call and ask them how long it should be. It could come across like you're trying to do the bare minimum.

I just suggest sitting down and writing and see how long it takes to get your point across. I think you'll find that 500 words is pretty easy and you may end up writing more.
