I made almost all of DS's baby food. We bought a few jars here and there to use to take out with us. That website is a great resource.
The only thing I have to add is that I bought silicone mini muffin tins from Bed, Bath & Beyond and they worked so much easier than the ice cube trays for popping the cubes out once they were frozen. Then we just put them into freezer bags and labeled them. With the ice cube trays, I found that the purees didn't pop out as easy as a regular ice cube and I almost had to melt the bottoms of them to get the cubes out, which made them stick together once we put them into the freezer bags.
