Try and eat a healthy snack before going to a party ( cheese, veggies, fruit, humus/crackers/pita, natural pb, almonds)

I do enjoy drinks but don't over do it, mix in water, seltzer and keep your alcohol calories low Drinks

Get in workouts whenever you can and dont let the holiday stress get to you

One indulgence cannot dictate, enjoy it and move on Yes

Don't overextend yourself.

Take time to find meaning in the season, whatever that is for you.

Wash your hands!!!

Stay home if you are sick!!!

Eat well most of the time so that the indulgences will be just that - a treat.

Fit in exercise when you can.

Don't sweat the small stuff....pick a few things to do well rather than trying to do everything.

My work just sent out an email with a .pdf of tips for holiday healthy eating. They are also doing a challenge where you can put in $10 and if you stay within 2 lb of your weight, you get the pot of money after Christmas.

Haha..pretty harsh. I don't like what mine say/do a lot of times, but I try to enjoy my time around them for my husband's sake.

One thing that helps with my stress level during the holidays is to prepare/plan.  Doing the legwork before hand ensures I have proper ingredients, menu, decorations, etc.  And therefore more time to actually enjoy the holiday events if I have planned everything out before hand.

I love it!  I don't think I can recommed it to our patients, but I love it anyway.

Schedule some me time; you'll need the break

Keep on your routine as much as possible--eating well, exercising, etc.

Eat a healthy meal or snack before holiday parties so you won't overindulge on appetizers and desserts.

One thing that is a killer for me is all the sweets that people bring to the office.  I try to avoid the break room and areas where they put them out so I'm not tempted. Avoid the offices where people have candy dishes if possible!

Ditto about eating something healthy before a party.  Also, alternate drinking water with alcoholic beverages.  Or offer to be the DD.

Don't stress out over one big meal on Thanksgiving or Christmas.  Watch portion sizes but don't deprive yourself too much.  If you just love mom's stuffing, it's ok to have some!  Moderation is the key as always.
