Anyone own an espresso maker? (NGLR)

I want to get one for my parents for Christmas, but I'm completely conflicted on what kind to get.  I'm really liking this one but I don't like that you have to buy the pods...

I will take any and all suggestions/recommendations.  TIA!

We have a very simple Melitta from Target and love it. DH loves to play barista and make us (decaf) espressos after dinner. I used it every day for about two months when we got back from vacation in Italy, making myself a "real" latte before work. :)

We have a Nespresso machine (can't remember the exact model), and we LOVE it!  We just got it as a wedding gift, and the coffee is amazing!  I was unsure about it at first for the same reason as you...I didn't want to have to buy the pods.  But their coffee is so darn good that I honestly don't mind.  And it's not that expensive.  The pods are $.55 and .$62 each.  When I compare that to the price I pay for a latte at Starbucks, it's peanuts!  It's super easy to use too, which is a big plus.  The benefit of the pods is that there's no mess, no cleaning, no coffee grounds to dispose of.

HTH!
