I don't live there now, but I grew up there and my family still lives there. Pensacola is a great place to raise a family. If it weren't for our jobs, I would love to be back there again. There are many great and safe areas around. Definitely go for Pensacola over Mobile if you have a choice in the matter though. I do not like Mobile and wouldn't want to live there. But that's a personal choice. If you need to work in mobile and want to commute from Pensacola, Beulah is a nice country area. If you want to live close to the beach, Gulf Breeze, and Navarre area is really nice....so is Perdido Key. If you like other areas of the country, Cantonment and Molino are nice areas too for country living. Is there a specific are you have looked at? I can help you more if you like on certain areas. Just let me know! Good luck on your move! It's definitely VERY different than Atlanta though since you are used to having access to so many things. I live in Orlando now and it's worlds of difference. But for us, our jobs are holding us here.
