Date night cooking together

DH and I are staying in tomorrow because of the horrible leftover hurricane weather coming. We want to stay in and cook together - something fun. Any ides? I don't eat seafood and he get sick of chicken, so we're probably looking at red meat. Thanks!!

Why dont you grab some frozen dough at the grocery store and make your own pizzas?

Kabobs might be yummy with some beef and veggies.

We want to really, really cook. Something hard, something we've never made before, not just something fun. A challenge!!

Oh I second pizzas those are so fun to make together!

Maybe something Asian, like beef and broccoli? Or something Greek from Elly's blog, it always looks good!

I agree with the pizza, if you want a challenge try making the dough as well. Top it with something interesting like buffalo chicken or special veges, etc., anything other than pepperoni.

sounds like a great night together! Have fun!!! Big Smile

We're doing the same thing tonight.

Beef stir fry with lots of veggies. Requires lots of prep work, with all the chopping and and dicing.

Maybe beef Wellington?  I'm making that next week for DH's belated birthday dinner.

I've always wanted to make beef wellington. Hmm, I think I will do individual ones. Let's see if DH is on board with that.

Saturday is normally our fancy dinner out night so I defnitely want to replace the fancy restaurant food with our own!

Could you try recreating a favorite meal you had at a restaurant? Pick a favorite appetizer, entree and dessert so you can really go all-out.

You could always grill some steaks or make some ribs in the oven.
