**Marryingacoach**

Thanks for your blog comment. I told DH about your tip for treating the sinks and he wanted to know what you used. Just draino or is there something special?

TIA!

We have an exterminator and they used some of their stuff but I would imagine draino or cholorox would work. Basically they lay their eggs in the drain so although you think you are killing them when they are flying around you are not killing the eggs. I hope it works for you.  Make sure you treat all the drains- sinks and tubs!

Thanks. After I told DH about your comment he said, "I knew they were in the sink!" I was annoyed by the bugs too, but it got personal with him. LOL.

It got personal with me too.. We were so frustrated with them b/c we tried everything to kill them.  We ended up getting on a quarterly extermination schedule since we live in the country and asked them about it and they said they were drain flies/ gnats. We still get them from time to time. They are so annoying!

ETA: Make sure you check anywhere there might be some moisture not just drains. They lay their eggs where there is moisture.

This is the first time we've had those kids of bugs. In the spring when we fist open our windows we always get flies, but they're easy to get rid of. We live in an apartment and I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem.

Next time I'm out I'm going to look at the drano aisle and see what I can find.

This is good to know!!  We have been having an issue with them lately as well.  I noticed a huge decrease in them recently and now that I think about it, the amount decreased drastically after we replaced our garbage disposal that was broken.  We only have 1 here and there now, but I know to keep on top of the drains!

I am off to explore this great big world all by myself.
