To continue our discussion.....

I am vegetarian, so I rely on carbs for a lot of my diet.  I can do eggs, soy and nuts.  But no nuts at work.  I have issues digesting meats, and a severe seafood allergy.  I have a hard time finding good proteins to make up lunches.

Ah!  Yes, dietery restrictions.  I cannot have most raw fruits and veggies, so it is hard for me too.  I do lots of frozen veggies for work and steam fresh at home.  I rely on carbs a lot.  Try whole grains instead of white rice.  I did eat brown rice with a touch of brown sugar for breakfasts.  Why no nuts at work?  So seafood is out, can you do fish?  I had tuna on my salads and had salmon steaks frequently.

I cut out soda, caffeine and most refined sugars.  It sucked but oh my I felt so much better.

No fish at all.  I work in a school, so no nuts.

I do eat whole grain breads & pasta.  Rarely eat rice.   I would be a lying liar if I didn't say here that I eat something sweet every.single.day (if not twice!).  I'm an addict.  I know that's my biggest issue in dropping it all.

I need to quit the refined sugars, but I have zero willpower about it.

Ah, I see.  Well I tried to replace sugar with fruits, but by no means did I deprive myself of sugar.  I also did the drink a ton of water when I think I'm hungry thing.  If you are already eating healthy, excercise is really the missing link.
