Anyone here?

I can't post when I'm at work during the day and the board seems dead once I'm home in the evening.  My husband and I are having a quiet Friday night at home and I'm bored, but too tired to do anything productive.  

What are all of you up to?

I'm watching DH hang curtain rods and getting ready to make some tomato sauce to go with our pasta for dinner.

Haha I'm listening to my husband talk on his headset to his "team" while he plays games on his XBOX.  

We are supposed to be having a traditional Shabbat dinner tonight (we fail at this every week), but I forgot to pick up challah and it's already dark here so we didn't light the candles in time.  Sigh...

On a positive note, I'm reading a book I thoroughly enjoy and I cleaned the apartment yesterday.

I'm trying to work on my NaNoWriMo novel but not doing a very good job.
I’m gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass. Gonna kick some ass in the USA. Gonna climb a mountain, gonna sew a flag, gonna fly on an eagle. I’m gonna kick some butt, gonna drive a big truck. I'm trying to work on my NaNoWriMo novel but not doing a very good job.

What is your novel about?

I have made numerous failed attempts to start a novel, but I become restless quickly and I never finish.  My family and my parents' friends have been pushing me to write an autobiography of some sort as well, but I cannot imagine people wanting to read about my life.

That sounds really interesting.  It reminds me of the musical Chicago.  The book I am reading now (historically-based fiction) is set in the late 1800s and early 1900s and it is about a woman who went from high society into a life of crime and trick shooting and an assortment of other endeavors.  She took on several aliases and befriended some notorious individuals.  I doubt that description helps much, but maybe it will inspire some ideas.

Well, maybe she just gets a little sick not dead...

On the other hand, my ideas may just suck tonight - keeping in mind that I have written zero words of my own paper which is due on Wed.

She tries to poison one person repeatedly and he/she keeps accidentally foiling her attempts?  She runs out of poison? She is forced to move in with a ridiculously happy family and feels guilty when she thinks about poisoning them?  Another serial poisoner starts killing people and becomes a news sensation, therefore stealing her thunder and causing a competition of sorts?
