$15-20 gender (and age) neutral gift ideas?!

My family does a Yankee Swap every year at Christmas. Up until this year, it's been my aunts and uncles and the adult cousins who participate in this, while the younger kids pick names and buy for just one cousin.

This year, they're including all my younger cousins in the swap too. My youngest cousin is 9 (almost 10). Then, there are 3 in high school, and one in her first year of college as well.

Fortunately, the babies will just be getting a little something and we don't have to consider the infants/toddlers in this exchange.

But, now that we've added kids to the mix, I'm having a harder time picking gifts. Any and all suggestions are welcome! I just don't want to get a gift that is obviously for adults and have my poor 9-yo cousin end up getting stuck with it. I'm guessing it will likely be a big GC year!

All I can think of is gift cards! That's a tough thing. How about a movie themed gift? Movie tickets and candy to sneak into the theatre. I'll keep thinking! It would be SOO much easier if it didn't have to be gender neutral!

Itunes??

I was going to say a borders gift card.  But maybe a movie gift basket like popcorn, a dvd (family friendly) some chocolate candies etc.?

My handsome little man is now a toddler!

I guess I should mention that my extended family owns some video stores, so video themes (while normally an excellent idea) isn't quite the best gift to get for this crowd.

Ugh. This is so tough!

What about a snack type/food related kit?  Like a hot chocolate kit, italian foods kit, cheese/sausage kit or a make your own comfort foods kit that contains maybe fudge, cookie mix in a jar, some recipes, cookie cutters, etc.  all in a basket.  Seems fun for kids to me and you could always adjust the food items to be more gender neutral - nuts, drink mix, candy/treats, cheese/sausage.

That seems the most neutral for gender and age to me.

Or they have those soup versions at Wal-mart I've seen before as well. :)

ooh, or since there's a video store in the family, how about the ultimate movie fan basket?  Maybe an air popper for popcorn, some gourmet popcorn mixes/spices, 3-D glasses, and a nice comfy blanket for snuggling up to watch a good movie?

Walmart, Target, or a Bookstore GC. A local mall gc would work too.

DH's family does this too....It's tough when soo many age groups are involved. How about a fun new board game? We als give scratch tickets, movie tickets, gift cards to D.Donuts or CVS (good fr any age!)

Hope this helps!!
