all the meat in the freezer turned brown

Specifically all the beef (ground beef, a few steaks, and stir fry strips).  I buy meat in bulk when its on sale, and I opened up the freezer today and it was all brown.  Some of the steaks are so dark they look almost black.  Everything is still frozen, but do you think its still good?  A quick google search says its from oxygen getting to the meat and that if it doesn't smell funny its fine.  But smelling it would probably require me letting it thaw, and I don't want to thaw everything if its perfectly fine.  We've lived here almost 1.5 years and I've never had this happen!

Do you seal it up in vacuum bags?

If not then it will most likely turn brown.  Some zipper bags still let air in- some are more "air tight" - the meat is probably still fine.

We've had that occur with ground turkey a few times before, and the meat has always been fine when it's been thawed/cooked.  We eat very little beef, so I can't speak to the steaks' appearance, but I would guess that they are still fine.
