Check blu's blog. She has the Ruth Reichl recipe for NY cheesecake and NY cheesecake is the best :) Or you could probably google for it, too.

I have one I love because it has no sour cream in it!

It should be in my blog.  I always use the same cheesecake base before I make changes.  I used my basic recipe to create DHs crazy citrus cheesecake in July.
