Family saga... just a vent

So, there is a girl in the family (GF of someone) that NO ONE likes... and the couple has been together for close to 3 yrs.  She's horrible, and that's an understatement.  I have recently begun to feel sorry for the poor girl, but at the same time she brought it on to herself.

The boyfriend (family member) knows no one likes her, and he isn't too into her either; but he feels bad breaking up with her.  He has attempted now on 2 occassions to do so, but she convinces him not to... you know how it goes, some crying, some hugging, leading to some kissing, and badabing badaboom they are together again!

:: sigh:: He needs to realize he just has to do it and and not feel sorry for her; he needs to do it for him.

uhmm...i'd feel sorry for her too. this family member should just brake up w/her if he isn't into her any more.  what's worse leading someone on or letting them go, she'll cry for a lil but for sooner or later will get over it.

I know the feeling girl. We had the same exact situation in my family a few years ago. Thankfully with enough pushing and encouragement it all worked out (i.e. she got rid of him, lol). All, I can say is continue to be by his side and let him know hw has support. And if you have to, introduce him to other girls so he fully understands there are more poeple out there for him.

BTW, I was reading your blog and cracking up. Your DH and mine are the same. Regarding the rats on the powerlines, yea we just borrowed a BBgun and I hope he whacks every single one of those disgusting things!!! lol

Rosie, i wouldn't be surprised if u do know her...

Jackie - the thing is that he loves to go out boys only, and he'll actually dance w/ girls and pickup (he won't hookup though)... so he can do it, just won't breakup w/ her. 

Honestly, it is so awkward having her at family events b/c no one talks to her, seriously, only the little girls (3-4 yrs old)!

jackie- i doubt I know her lol I've only been in Miami for 4 years and have managed to keep in touch with 3 girls that i've met here. one being Jenny. LOL

this girl got broken up with on easter sunday...and she is no longer going to his family events, so I don't think it is the same girl.

if it is, she's driving me nuts too! haha

Jackie all I can say is tell him to get a back bone mija. He's living a lie and thats not right. He's wasting away time that both of them can be enjoying quality time with a new partner or just enjoy life alone without all the baggage.

Jackie, let me point out that this is just "my opinion" but most men at 21 usually are not maduro and have no clue what they want most of the time. He's probably still mentally a child mija, eventually it will all snap into place and he'll wake up. Don't worry about it and let it take its course. Your a good person for wanting the best for him but he will realize it all on his own soon enough.

Tell him to use some sp*ermicide killer ointment! lol =P ok all jokes a side. He really needs to just stop sleeping with her if he doesn't love her anyhow and if it does happen...then he will be in for a hard learned lesson.

jessi beat me to it...but i woud also try to stress to him that he needs to make sure he does not end up knockin her up! she's probably hopin for that...she seems like a leach...not a good situation. i hope he gets out of it before the family is in a worse situation.
