My OBGYN is moving :( Need Recs . . .

I'm sad, I just found out yesterday afternoon. . .
I know it's for a good reason, his wife and him made the decision to raise their 5 children outside Miami ( I don't know where he's moving).  It's understandable. . .BUT this was the doc I wanted to help me bring my kiddies into the world one day, he's got such an awesome personality and now I have to start my search.  I've been with him for 10 years, so we already had a great doc/patient relationship.

I would GREATLY appreciate any rec (or who to avoid) in the South Miami, Kendall, Gables areas.  When the time comes, I would ideally like to deliver at South Miami hospital ( I can literally walk there) or Baptist in Kendall.

    I totally recommend mine, but he's in Mercy... Dr. Rolando de Leon.  I know there is a practice in So.Miami which are great... but don't know the name.  A few girls here go to them, so they should be able to help you out.  GL

    My OB is De Leon as well.  He is currently not taking any new patients though which personally I think is a good thing b/c the wait at the office for a regular GYN appt is over two months long!!!!  At South Miami some people I know go to Dr. Chi or Safinsky.  Both are wonderful.  Good Luck.

    dr. safinski is great, i hear. 

    i go to dr. glick, he's part of the practice with dr.s fink and baer (safinski used to be a part of it like 10 years ago.)  they're across from norman brother's on 87 ave (and i believe works w/south miami, too.)

    do NOT go to Dr. Weiner or Dr. Chambliss.  I have HORRIBLE experiences with them (including LOSING all my medical documents and paperwork while i was tryiing to get a medical withdrawal from FSU)

    Mine is Dr. Fink, whom britishbride cited.  LOVE HIM!  He's an actor, has been noted in Cosmo and Glamour, and has been a medical consultant to several TV shows currently running.

    But besides that, he is hilarious and warm and delivered Quinn at Baptist this past January.  His wife works with him, she is a nurse.  And his partner in crime is Dr. V, I can never spell his name right and keep it to the initial for simplicity.

    I deal with a lot of patients that give me feed back on their OB and  I was also looking for a GYN that may later deliver my babies at South Miami Hos preferrably.  Dr.  Fink Ive heard very good things from and also Dr, Schartzbard, I think their issue though is that they are selective on the insurance. I have a decect insurance but they wont take it.  Theres Dr. Paez, Chi, Lopez-Beecham group which Ive also heard great things from.  I just went to see Dr. Rafael Perez, I had heard great things from him, and it went great, very professional and knowledgable, I really liked him.  Hope this helps.
