We used the Angelcare for our daughter and it was the best thing for us. It was the only thing that gave us peace of mind and it was a blessing knowing the alarm would sound if she stopped breathing.
We did have a night where it went off and she was smack in the middle of the crib so it wasn't because she rolled or anything like that. I don't know if it was a "false" alarm, but I am glad I didn't have to find out. This monitor got complaints about false alarms with the baby rolling off the monitor mat, and yes we did experience this when she was older, but not often and it was still a relief for nights when she was sick or whatever.. call me paranoid. You can use just the monitor pieces without the mat when they get bigger.
We will use it for this baby also.
