S/O: Summer Baby coming home outfit

If you had a summer baby did you just do a onsie or did you do pants and a long sleeved shirt?
I'm thinking it's gonna be hot as you know what so I'm assuming the kid should be just as comfortable as me, right?

My brain is a fog. Kris was a summer baby and yet I have no recolection what my sister brought him home in. BUT...I think just a onsie.

My DD was born at the end of July - we brought her home in a short-sleeved onsie and a very light sweater and hat my aunt knit for her, with a blanket over her legs int he car. While it was super hot outside, the a/c made it much cooler in the car and in the house. the sweater and hat were just for the ride home though-  not worn all day.

I had her in a lightweight "nightgown."  It was long-sleeved, but lightweight cotton with a lawn overlay on the front.  We also had a blanket and a hat.  Even though it was hot out, she was going from ac in the hospital to ac in the car to ac at my mom's house (where we spent our first few weeks since my drs were all down there and apt wasnt' really set up).

Hayden came home on Labor Day and it was HOT!  You're not outside with the baby though (except literally 2 seconds to get the car seat snapped in the car) and you're in the air conditioning where it's cold.  We always had Hayden in light weight long sleeves (sometimes short sleeves with a light receiving blanket) and light weight pants.

If you're happy that it's spring, clap your hands!
