We have a sleep number and like it, but we did not try the Tempurpedic to compare.

We have the tempurpedic, only because that's what DH wanted for the firmness, I really wish we had the sleep number to balance our differences.

I swear the first week we had it I must have lost 10lbs. it must not breath easy because I would sweat all night long (sorry TMI) I am pretty used to it now but it took me a couple months to get used to, I still sweat at night just not as bad.

So that is my experience with the Tempurpedic, hope that helps a little.

The sleep number is so comfortable and I love it.  But if you like to make your bed, it looks totally deflated when you aren't laying on it- so I have to pump it up every morning.  Also if your DH likes his side much firmer than your side, it can create a ridge and make cuddling difficult.

we have a sleep number bed and absolutely love it.  DH and i both have them at different settings  (we NEVER would have agreed on a regular bed)  and as your needs change, you can change it to whatever you want.

i've never had the deflated looking problem pp mentioned when making the bed.  We do have a thick comforter though, maybe that helps.

We love our Sleep #! It's been SO nice to have while PG too - I've changed my # to be softer and I sleep so much better than my normal #. We don't have a problem cuddling or with the deflated look either...
