Moms: Denver Brass RAVE RAVE RAVE

My mom was supposed to babysit this afternoon while I went somewhere but she was sick today.  So at the last minute I decided to take N to the Denver Brass Tiny Tots performance.  It's a brass quintet concert specifically geared toward preschoolers and toddlers.  They play Disney music, nursery rhymes, folk songs and marches, and there are ZERO expectation that the kids have to sit in their seats and be quiet and still.  N absoluely loved it.  All the kids did.

I don't know how often they do the seiries but they have three more scheduled in the near future at various churches in the metro area.  Get there early because it was far more packed than I would have ever expected.

Our church hosts most of their concerts so we are gifted with their presence on Christmas Eve and the most beautiful Palm Sunday and Easter music.  I love 'em.

I'm sure absolutely no less than the kids who crawled under the music stands and sat directly at their feet today.

Wot! I love seeing this posted on the board! I used to work for The Denver Brass in their tiny little four person office. I was in charge of ticketing and box office.

Seriously, if you haven't checked out their performances, you really should. Not only is it affordable entertainment, but it really opens your eyes to the possibilities of brass music.

I highly recommend the March concert Brass, Bagpipes, and Co. It's a show that features The Denver Brass, bagpipers, Irish and Scottish Dancers, a tenor, and probably other entertainers.

Check 'em out! Tell them Katie sent you. :)

I love the DB!  My SIL works for them and we go ALL.THE.TIME.  My DD loves them.  They have quite a few concerts for little kids and DD has always enjoyed them.
