Paris Restaurant Recs

Just wondering if anyone has any Paris restaurants that they would really like to rec.  Aside from an evening in Montmartre, we'll probably stick to the 1er - 9eme.

We typically go for budget to mid-range places (€20-35pp), but we might splurge a little for one night.  However, we're traveling with very little luggage, so we won't be packing any eveningwear.

I find it hard to put myself in just one box.

That's a lot of suggestions.  We'll only be there for a couple of days, so are there one or two that you would recommend over all the others?

I haven't been to Paris in a hundred years.  I loved that edition of Gourmet though and remembered it re this post.  Sorry!  I thought this would give you a good range to pick from.

Le Grand Colbert! It is the restaurant where Diane Keaton eats the roast chicken in Something's Gotta Give. We went last May and it was so wonderful! Have fun in Paris! It is one of my favorite cities!

Creperie Beaubourg (assuming it's still there)...it's near the Centre Pompidou.  It's in the same little square as the fountain.  Good crepes and it's fun looking out over the fountain!

We loved this place Au Fil des Saisons.  It's tiny, but very cute and the food was wonderful.  If you go, you must get the duck confit with foie gras.  Here's a link to a review w/pics on a food blog:

Oh!  I'm so glad someone recommended a creperie!  DH loves crepes, but the only places I ever went to were when my flatmates and I stumbled out of a club at 3am and had the munchies on the way home!  I was wondering where I would take him if he wanted some!

It would be a splurge for you, but I would suggest Maceo.  The same guy owns Willy's Wine Bar.  Google them both.
