Interview Review

okay...my nerves have not diminished now that the interview is over and I keep thinking of things I wish I had said. (not that I said anything bad but things I now think of that would have made me look even better).

Instead of doing two interviews the lady ended up bringing the main guy in and he finished the interview (good sign)...they showed me through the plant, show rooms, and offices. I really liked the environment. This was basically my dream job when I was in college!

He told me that by my resume and background I was a perfect candidate for what they were hoping to find when they created the position. Even told me the stories of a few applicants that they had interviewed which they felt could not handle the job based on their lack of experience etc.

Gave me their card in case I had any questions and they were going to discuss and get back to me. They are hoping to have some one in place within 4-6 weeks...this is going to be agony if I have to wait that long to hear something!!

It sounds like you had a really good interview. Get a thank you note in the mail in the next couple of days so you stand out in their minds. I hope you hear something soon!

Sounds great!
Send both interviewers an email to thank them for their time and how interested you are in the opportunity.

Glad things went well!

Your thank you emails/letters are a great time to say those things you are thinking of now that will make you look better. You can say something about how you've been thinking about their question abc and upon further thought, xyz. It'll highlight how much you paid attention and are interested in the job.

Also, if you think of more questions, call or email them! My last interviewer encouraged me to contact her with questions, and I followed up, and I think it contributed to getting an offer and being able to negotiate for a higher salary when I got it. (And I'm starting there soon.)

Good luck!!
