Beauty Salon Help

I am new to Long Island and in desparate need of a good hairdresser. I live near Garden City and want to find a salon that is not overpriced and won't mess up my hair. There are really too many to choose from, which makes my decision much harder. I would very much appreciate any advise or suggestions!

I use Expressions...in Mineola.  Not too far and I don't think it's too over-priced.  But then again, I don't get colored...just cuts...And that's where I had my wedding day hair and make up done!

I don't know if that helps!

Thank you! It looks like a nice place with very reasonable pricing, and it's only 3 miles from my house:) I am making an appointment today! Do you have a recommendation of a particular beautician?

So I went to the salon today and I really liked it:) The receptionist and shampoo girl treated me like they had known me for years and the hair dresser was really talented. I went to JoAnn. PLUS, it was only $37 for a wash, cut and style! (Can't really beat that in LI). Also, it is easy to find, right off Jericho Turnpike, there is ample parking in the rear entrance, and it is a classy place. I would definetly recommend it,  and thank you again alli11:)
