This is from a Colorado local cookbook that has been around since the 70s. It's been the standard birthday cake in our family, and is still the cake I make anytime I have a reason to make a cake.
It's not healthy, but it is OMG good.

Annie - I have had that pb cake starred in my google reader since you posted it (for dh's bday). I'm don't particularly care for pb, but dh LOVES it. His birthday is the 16th so I get to make it soon -- yay!
