My favorite is pumpkin pie which I only eat once a year, on Thanksgiving. My family has a particular recipe that has a layer of cheesecake and then the layer of pumpkin so it's not quite so pumpkiny. It must be served with homemade whipped cream, not canned stuff. It is good. Not creative, but traditional.

Also not creative...I love pecan pie.  It just isn't the same without it.

The first year we had Thanksgiving at my aunts house she served a pumpkin roll and a french silk pie for dessert.  I was distraught and heartbroken.  Stick out tongue

I'm a purist.  I love pumpkin pie.

Although, it's the only time of year my dad makes his homemade ice cream, so that's my favorite Thanksgiving dessert.

The apple pie my mom makes... it has a crumbly topping instead of a top layer of crust and she serves it with vanilla bean ice cream and warm caramel sauce.  It's heavenly.
