what would your 12 month old son wear to his aunt's wedding?

i suck at shopping for menswear and really suck at shopping for little boys.  it just doesn't hold my interest.

are you passionate about any 12 mos formal wear for BOYS?

When is the wedding again? Fall? Winter?Spring?

If it was summer or spring I would do shorts, button down shirt and maybe a cute vest or a blazer.

If it was Fall/Winter I would do tan pants, button down and a Blazer or again a vest (depending on how formal it is)

J-crew has cute stuff for little boys (edit- ugh they don't have small sizes though)

H's little 15mo cousins wore tux t-shirts and black pants to our wedding.  It was cute and they were comfortable.

Formal wear on young children is incorrect, says Miss Manners. So that gets you out of stuffing that poor kid into a tuxedo.

I'd get him one of those tee shirts with a tie printed on it, and some nice pants.

lol I tend to agree with you they always look so uncomfortable!!  And if they poop or need a change you have to take off all that stuff...this is why I thought pants and a nice sweater vest would be cute.

Of course this means you want to see our offspring in their formal clothing, right?

Ha, really, though, it depends on how formal/preppy the family is. If they are, I'd do some basic Ralph Lauren Baby (tie optional!).

If they have more of a hip vibe, wander down to Yoya and tell them what you want.  They'll dig up something great.

I'd pick a white linen suit jacket and pants.  Or a pale blue jacket and khakis with a little bowtie.  And a cane!  I kid.

Seriously, something (assuming it's nice weather) formal, light fabrics.  Saddle shoes.

All the little boys in our wedding wore khakis, blazer, bow ties or regular ties (depending on what their dads wore) and white shirts.  The youngest was 16 months.  Here's an example of the outfit.  I can't find any pictures of the little guy right now.

See what happens?

immm you'll need to have a dry wedding if you are inviting this kind of irresponsible little people!
