How Do You Clean the Kitchen Floor?

So I think H never cleaned or mopped the kitchen floor before I moved in, I just tried using the Swiffer Wet Cloths and it really didn't do much.

 What do y'all use?

My husband sits on the floor with paper towels and spray cleaner, I yell at him all the time. Now that I've moved in its going to get done the right way. My friends have the shark steam mop and love it, so that's what I think I'm going to get.

I use the Shark Steam Mop and it's a lot better than the mop and bucket I used to use.  Now cleaning the floors isn't such a project and they dry a lot faster.

I bought the Shark steam mop and it hasn't worked out to well for me. I sweep and dust the floors before I use it, and the mop still picks up dirt and leaves it in lines along the baseboards, so I have to go back around and wipe up the dirt. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong, but it's not my favorite thing to use. I actually picked up a Lysol clean-flip wet/dry mop and the thin dry pads did a better job of picking up the dirt than the Shark did.

I use the Rubbermaid Reveal mop (It's like a swiffer wet jet, but you can use your own solution and it has washable wet and dry cloths that velcro onto the mop).  I use Murphy's Oil Soap (ready to use version) for that.  If deep cleaning is needed, I use a bucket of murphy's oil soap (regular concentrated version), and use a scrub sponge, but that's only once in a blue moon.

Another Shark steam mop user here. I love that there's no soapy residue that can be left behind. Plus, it dries so fast!

I have the shark hard floor cleaner that vaccums before you steam and I ADORE it. It works fantastic on my hardwood and tiles. Hubs gave me crap about *needing* it, but he took it back the second he saw how clean our floors got.

Kitchen is the most important part of our home and it should be well cleaned on daily basis as we cook food there. For having a hygienic food its is necessary to keep your kitchen virus free. If someone is not using chimney in her kitchen, she can suffer with the hard and oily stains on the floor of kitchen due to vaporization of oil and water while cooking. The shark stream wash is the best way to clean you kitchen but if you do not have sufficient time to clean, you can even hire a cleaning company who take care about cleaning your kitchen. These companies take all the responsibility of cleaning your kitchen and other parts of home as well in affordable prices.

I dry swiffer several times a week. I really need to deep clean it more often. We've been using wet swiffer pads, but those run out so fast we have to use like 5 to get the whole downstairs done. I tried a sponge mop once and that worked a lot better.

I've always used the Swiffer Wet-Jet. It worked well in my apartment, and we hope it works in our new house. It works great on tile.

I use Mild dish detergent such as Ivory, I mix it in the warm water and Mop or sponge the floor with that water, rinsing frequently. Believe me warm water really works.

I use a swiffer mop and dry cloths. I spray windex on the tile floor and then sweep. It works wonders. I do that a couple of times a week so I don't have to do a deep clean.

I use the swiffer wet jet on my kitchen tile, and it works ok.  I definitely don't have time to mop with a bucket of water or get on my hands and knees, so this is the best solution I've found.

Edit: After frustrations with lack of dirt removal, I've been using an O'Cedar mop, which is like the swiffer, but it has microfiber (rewashable!) cloths and you can use your own cleaning solution.  This has been working better.  I make sure to soak the microfiber cloth in hot water before mopping.

I had two shark steam mops but they leaked water everywhere and stopped working after just a few months. Then my daughter convinced me to get this Eureka Floor Steamer which has much better reviews and gets much hotter. I love it!

The Shark Mop is amazing! I love it for hard to clean floors. We used to live in an apartment with all wood floors and with a cat and dog, it was really hard to keep them clean with a Swiffer. It didn't really do much but push the dirt around. The cloth on the Shark is also washable and it only uses water. Say hello to not having to spend money on those Swiffer pads or refills of floor cleaner anymore!

I use Swiffer wet maybe once during the week and use my HAAN steam mop on the weekends.  The HAAN dries fast and has reusable cloths, my only complaint with is that the cord isn't long enough (I have an extension cord that stays attached now).

I use a dry Swiffer daily. But for deep cleaning, I get on my hands and knees with a rag!

I just think mops are gross, and buying all the Swiffer stuff is expensive. I used to use cheap paper towels, but I'm trying to be frugal, so I have bunches of rags to use.

I just feel my floors get cleaner when I "Cinderella" it =]

I usually use broom, warm water, bucket, mild dish detergentsuch as Ivory, brush with rubber bristles or soft cloth, mop and clean towelsfor cleaning my vinyl floor. Using the mop or soft cloth,I scrub the floorgently. Although stubborn spots require the rubber bristled brush and cleaningfrom  hands and knees.

I vacuum it first with a stick vac, then use the swiffer wet jet for daily/weekly cleaning.  We have hardwood laminate floors so we use multipurpose version of the cleaning spray.  Usually once a month or so, I use a diluted (according to the bottle) mixture of Method floor cleaner and put it in a spray bottle for easy use.  I "mop" the floor on my hands and knees spraying sections of the floor and using the bar mop towels I bought at Sam's club to clean the floor.  Lots of dirt on them, but by the time I'm done the floor is so clean!
