Reco Your Crockpot with Timer

I am looking for a 6 qt crock pot that allows you to set the time when to start.  For example, I leave for work at 6am and I get home around 4:30pm, but we don't eat until 6pm.  I need a crockpot that I can set to start between 8-10am and turn off at 6pm or so.

I don't believe any have the delayed on. It's unsafe to let food sit out for hours anyway. That's why the don't  make them with that feature.

I have the delonghi and its perfect.

Mine has a timer but its for a shut off and it switches to a warm function where it doesnt cook the food anymore. Ive set it before i go to work and then eaten it later on after its been on warm for a while and havent had any issues.  Unless you want to look into a kitchen timer specifically for a crock pot but i'm not sure if those work how you want either

i have an older version of this one....  http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=18700891

I've been looking for one as well and cannot seem to find one with a timer that you can set for a delayed start.  Likely, as a pp mentions, due to food safety issues.  Which, when you think about it is a complete joke.  Unfortunately, makers of such products truly believe that most consumers are stupid enough to throw a chicken in a crockpot and set a delayed start for 3 hours later.  When, in reality, I could throw a few frozen chicken breasts in, set a delayed start for 3 hours later and be perfectly fine.  The problem is that some fool would let something sit too long, get sick and then sue the crockpot maker because the delayed start option was a bad idea.

Yes, all I wanted was a crockpot with a delayed start timer.  And, I am bitter. ;)

I have the Hamilton Beach programable one. It does not have a delayed start, but you can set it to cook the meat to the desired temperature, then have it quit cooking once it reaches that.
