Excessive drooling - Just started

My six year old chocolate lab has recently (within the last 3 days) started drooling a lot. She has never drooled before in the three years I've had her (except for occaionally when I'm eating something she really wants). But lately she has been drooling like crazy. Any surface she lies on will have a puddle within 5 minutes - including our bed (yuck). Other than the drooling, she seems fine. She is eating, sleeping and pooping ok. Is this something I should be worried about? I don't want to spend $300 on a check-up at the vet if this is totally normal behaviour. Could it have something to do with her getting older?

Have you had any big changes happen? Some dogs drool because of anxiety.

Drooling can be indication that there is dental problems going on.

Drooling could be due to nausea, foreign object stuck in the mouth or other dental disease or something else.  Since this is an abrupt change I highly recommend getting her seen by a vet.

Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.
