I agree with PP, I love myfitnesspal, you can use the website or download the free app for Android or iPhone, its a great way to keep yourself accountable.
I would say at a minimum to start, keep an eye on your diet, thats 80% of weightloss for most people, once you are settled into your new life in your new home, then make it a point to get some exercise fit into your routine.
