Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip

This is a great recipe for a party. You can double the recipe (I'll show the original recipe here).  You can serve it with a side of Graham Sticks (honey / cinnamon), Teddy Grahams (for kids' parties) or Nilla Wafers.

A great "grab & go" snack for party-goers! Takes approx 10min prep time depending on how soft the cream cheese & butter are!

8 oz cream cheese  - softened
1/2 stick butter - softened  (I use the salted type because that is typically what I have here)
3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar (packed)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 bag (regular size bag) mini chocolate chips - NOT semi-sweet!
(For the full size I'll use the whole bag. Sometimes I cannot find the mini chips so the regular size chips are ok)

Mix together. Best to use a hand mixer.
You can mix at the end when the chocolate chips are in the mixture (this will give a shredded chip taste/appearance) or before (this will look more like cookie dough).
Put in fridge, let sit for at least 1 hour then serve.

I had a coworker who used to make this. It's REALLY good. I think it would make a good topping for a chocolate cake, too-- as long as the cake was light and not too sweet. Thanks for the recipe!
