took style cues from a maple leaf motif, and the colors green and white.

When
Katie Richardson and Kevin Carr met at a Manhattan rooftop party,
friendly banter ensued between the two over the correct pronunciation
of the word "syrup." Little did they know that this minor tiff would
play an important role in their wedding years later. For his proposal,
Kevin got down on one knee in front of a fountain in Central Park --
the site of their first date. The NYC Parks Department's symbol –- the
maple leaf –- was a natural motif choice for the invitations, favors,
and wedding cake.
