The Nest

Jennifer Gonzalez and Kyle Blanton met when they had just moved back to their home state of Texas. They first laid eyes on each other at a coaches’ meeting—though both were too shy to even say hello. “It took me back to being in high school when you make eye contact with that boy in the class that you have a huge crush on,” Jennifer remembers. Once they finally started talking, Jennifer asked Kyle on a date (he says she just barely beat him to it). He proposed not long after while the two were visiting her family.

To reflect their love of Texas, Jennifer and Kyle decided on a simple and elegant theme with a distinctly Southern style. Green and brown were chosen as the main colors to complement the rustic feel of the ceremony and reception site, while brighter magentas and pinks were used sparingly for a bit more color.
