After two-and-a- half years of dating, Tip picked up Megan for Christmas with his family at their lake house in Spicewood. On the way they stopped at Spicewood Baptist Church, where Tip dropped to one knee and asked Megan to marry him. “He had no idea that earlier that year, I’d confided to my best friend that it was my dream to marry Tip in that exact church,” Megan remembers. Months later, she did just that.

“We really wanted a sleek, simple, square cake that would make a statement,” explains Caroline. “Just a delicious and impressive ‘us’ cake.” She got her wish with two different flavors in the dessert: butter cake with lemon curd and buttercream and chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.

Even before they fell in love, Caroline and Ryan had a long history together. “Our families have been friends for years,” says Caroline. “Technically, we first met when I was six months old.” Her earliest memory of Ryan was when she was 10 and he was 12, but it wasn’t until eight years later that they connected as adults and began dating.

Sara and John met through a mutual friend who’d later be JB’s best man at their wedding. Sara had just snagged a summer internship at Merrill Lynch, and it turned out her supervisor was one of JB’s cousins. Soon JB started an internship himself, and Sara was assigned to work with him. On his second day on the job, JB asked Sara on a date.
