Since neither of us are morning people, our bathroom had to be energizing.  When we bought our place, the bathroom was completely white.  First we painted the walls Porcelain Blue, changed all the hardware to a brushed nickel and white porcelain finish, and added the biggest shower head we could find.  Last, we added fun green & blue accents:  a white breezy shower curtain with blue and green ribbons weaved through, green no slip frogs on the bottom of the tub, blue and green striped hand towels, etc.  My favorite part is, of course, the vinyl green/blue/white polka dots that go from floor to ceiling.
