Home buying VENT - tips for sellers
After an arduous, exhausting day of looking at 10 properties in Longmeadow yesterday, I have some advice for anyone who might be selling a home. First, sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln, LAY OFF THE YANKEE CANDLES . I can't say this enough. 3 or 4 of the properties we looked at were so heavily perfumed that I got a headache and wanted to leave before we had even finished seeing the places. It won't, I repeat, WON'T cover that dog smell you think it will cover, no matter what you saw on HGTV, and it

Home Depot customer service sucks!!
We had an appointment yesterday at the Enfield Home Depot to talk about kitchen cabinets and it honestly was like talking to a brick. The guy was terrible and offered no suggestions or information. I don't know how they ever sell kitchen cabinets or anything in that area with people like that working there. We left after 10 minutes and went to Budget Cabinet Sales in Agawam and that was a great experience! The owner sat with us and looked at our measurements and drew up a kitchen plan for us that

Poll: What do you miss about home?
I can't remember who all is a native here...but if you are not, what do you miss about home? Tara's Miss Texas post got me thinking about home (which is Texas) and I miss spring in Texas and how it is actually warm there. And I seriously miss the wide open plains. I don't even like the mountains. Oh, and its time for the bluebonnets...and I won't even get to see them this year. :( And decent Tex-Mex...I miss that too.

NKOTB re: Home Cooked
Last night was our first meal from there and DH kept saying, "Man, this is good! I mean, yours is good too honey. Oh, man this is good!" I'm so glad I discovered this place, even though I did want to slap him.

Work is sending me home
I took a "sick" day yesterday. I actually did feel a little sick, but it was mostly a mental health day. I came in to work today, and they're sending me home. My CWs say I look terrible. I am happy to go home, yet I am concerned at looking so bad when I'm only mildly under the weather. Granted I'm not wearing make up, but come on. Maybe a strapless bridesmaid dress is the least of my worries? Hmmm.... Note to self: improve beauty regimen

AW: Madelyn is finally home with us!
Just a quick update that Madelyn was released from the NICU yesterday, and we finally have her home with us! Everything is going so well, and we are enjoying every moment with her. She continues to eat well, and her BF is progressing each day. Thank you, ladies, for all your support and well wishes!

I think my older brother was 13 and I was 11 when we starting coming home from school to an empty house... he would get home from school first (he got out 1/2 our earlier than I) and we would be home alone until my parents got home from work. We were at that age too where my parents would go out to go Bowling in a Lg every Friday night and they would leave us home alone... we werent aloud out and couldnt have friends over, but the two of us were there. funny commute home..
I was on the path and it was crowded as usual but I had a seat. At one stop a guy gets in and asked me to get up so that he could sit down. I do so right away but it was kinda funny that in the path full of people the 6 month pregnant girl got up so that he could sit down gotta love commuting :) (a little while later another girl asked if I wanted to sit, I said I was fine but she got up anyway)

Kaitlyn reaches for me when I come home from work!
I LOVE it! As soon as she sees me, those little arms go flying up in the air so I will pick her up! She was breaking my heart this morning though, everytime I'd hand her over to mh she'd cry and reach for me again - makes it SO much harder to leave for work when she's up and knows I'm leaving!

came home to crying baby last night...
I walked in the front door last night and DH was on the couch relaxing, and I heard a crying baby...really loud! It sounded like it was right there in the LR. I literally looked down at my belly and wondered if I had had the baby and forgot about it or something. lmbo. I was so confused until I looked at the TV and realized DH was watching the Happiest Baby on the Block dvd(courtesy of Brandy-TY!!!). First, I couldn't believe I thought I " forgot " about having my baby. lol. And second, was astonished

S/O: Summer Baby coming home outfit
If you had a summer baby did you just do a onsie or did you do pants and a long sleeved shirt? I'm thinking it's gonna be hot as you know what so I'm assuming the kid should be just as comfortable as me, right? My brain is a fog. Kris was a summer baby and yet I have no recolection what my sister brought him home in. BUT...I think just a onsie.
