had an interview
I had an interview for a teaching position (for the fall) that I really, really want. It is in an urban district, but my experience has been only in suburban schools. Do you think this matters? I am crossing my fingers because I really want this job so badly.

Interview Question
I interviewed for a position over the course of Feb and early March. I had 4 rounds of interviews and thought things went relatively well. After the 3rd round I was told it was down to me and one other candidate. Two weeks after the last round of interviews, I sent a follow-up email to the director to see what the status was and got the response that they are finishing up interviews and will determine who will move on to the 2nd round by the end of the week. Odd response since I had already gone

I got a second interview!!!
Wheee.... Next Monday the 21st at 3. I also pulled a few more references out of my hat in case the HR standard "Yes, she worked here" and "Yes we'd hire her again" is not sufficient. Thanks for all the support!

Interview Monday, YAY!
So I filled out an online application this week with Mayo for an Emergency Medical Dispatcher position. It would be dispatching for Mayo One, LifeFlight, Gold Cross and a few other entities. It would be for 12 months with possibility of turning into long term. It pays more than I make currently and I already have dispatch experience. HR called me today to set up an interview, the only day they are being conducted is Monday. So my interview is at 4:30pm on Monday. When HR called she asked me if I

Interview Review
okay...my nerves have not diminished now that the interview is over and I keep thinking of things I wish I had said. (not that I said anything bad but things I now think of that would have made me look even better). Instead of doing two interviews the lady ended up bringing the main guy in and he finished the interview (good sign)...they showed me through the plant, show rooms, and offices. I really liked the environment. This was basically my dream job when I was in college! He told me that by my

So nervous! DH is at an all day job interview...
...with the FAA! I'm on Spring Break, so I have nothing better to do than sit and think about what he is doing, how it's going, what will happen if he gets the job or doesn't... I'm going to drive myself crazy! Oh, it's an air traffic controller position. I posted awhile back about the possibility of moving to Peachtree City. We'll know today. Argh....

Whoa, where did that come from?
Today started out like any other Friday (or any day of the week, for that matter) - I grabbed a bowl of cereal, the crossword puzzle and the computer, plunked myself down in front of the Today Show and started checking my e-mail, reading blogs and looking for jobs. Then, I got a phone call out of the blue from someone from our church. He owns a company that sells/distributes door hardware, and the marketing assistant just quit. He'd heard (through our small group leader) that I was looking for a

AW: Interview
I got a call today, and I have an interview Friday at my top choice school of the applications I sent out. I am so excited! I am still sad I can't stay where I am, but I'm relieved to have an interview. :)

Laura's interview reminded me...
Of an interview I had for a summer job. I answered this ad, which wasn't too descriptive. (It probably just said summer employment which was what I was looking for.) I got to the place, and it was this somewhat empty office space, but filled with a whole bunch of other people like me. Turns out they were looking for super excited and motivated people to go door to door selling..... are you ready? KNIVES!!! Oh sure, come into my house and show me your knives. What kind of idiot housewife is going

My interview today and my hair
Interesting interview today to say the least...VERY quirky company... Anyway they didn't give out their address (not even on their website) til the morning of the interview. AND there is ONE phone number for the whole company and they refused to give out any emails And not that I'm thrilled about the job, but etiquette is to send a Thank you for their time and interview. Lately I been sending them via email but I used to go Old School and send them snail mail. Should I do Snail Mail? Seems crazy.

Follow up on interview
I had the phone interview with the recruiter just now. They pushed it back cause she was having some phone issues. I can't tell how good or bad I did. I just get so nervous. Lots of emphasis on being a supervisor. I know I can do this job. She will follow up by Tuesday to let me know if they would like to schedule a follow up.

Looking good so far...
So his interview apparently went very well. They were almost all set to hire someone else, but once they received my husband's resume, they made sure to meet with him. The lady talked about how impressive his resume was several times over and that she just needed to talk to someone else before they proceeded any further. She asked him if he'd be available to start on the 10th or 12th or something and if he'd be available for summer activities. Everything looks good so far, but it's taken a little

Interview with Life Time
So my husband is interviewing with Life Time right now to try to start a TKD program there. I tried to practice interview questions with him last night since he's never done a job interview in English, but I think I was just making it harder for him. I just told him to relax and be himself, don't sound like a robot in the end. I'm really anxious to hear back from him! Obviously, he wouldn't be offered a job on the spot since he still needs to fill out a formal application and do a background check,
