pgs/moms - when did you travel until...
I know it goes on a case by case and specific dr but in general did your dr say you should stay closer to home/not travel as you got towards the end? If so, what week and how far? Not flying just driving type trips. (Mh's family lives 4 hrs away and events are coming up so just trying to get an idea)

XP: DC travel help
I'm cross posting this on the travel board... My mom and I would like to do a very cheap trip to DC in the first week of June with my 19yo sister and 8yo niece. We were going to fly on Skybus to Richmond and stay at the hotel on the Quantico Marine base (sister's bf is stationed there). Skybus is a no go now, so our next cheapest option is to fly into Baltimore. We'd sort of like a hotel outside of the actual "city" b/c of cost. So... Is it feasable to stay in Baltimore and go into DC every night?

Airport/Travel Question
Hi Ladies- I live in Michigan but my IL's recently bought a place in Sarasota. There aren't many flights from Detroit to Sarasota (especially non-stop and that's what we're looking for since we have a 6 month old....). My IL's place is near the I-75 & Clark Rd. exit. Which airport would be closer to fly into: Tampa or Ft. Myers??? My IL's are not that familiar with the area yet....... If you can help out, please respond :) TIA!

Travel/Airport Question
Hi Ladies- I am from Michigan but I have a travel/airport question in the Sarasota/Tampa area. My IL's just bought a place in Sarasota.....they are located at the I-75 and Clark Road exit. If we can't fly into Sarasota (there aren't many flights from there to Michigan that are non-stop and we have a small baby....) would it be closer to fly to Tampa or to Fort Myers?? My IL's are not familiar with the area yet, so they haven't been much help. If anyone knows, please help me out! TIA!

Keeping Fingers Crossed
My parents are supposed to fly down and visit us this weekend. They're flying out of an airport that has only 2 daily flights so if one gets cancelled, they could end up waiting until the next day (like today). So I'm hoping right now that the last flight up there tonight takes off (that would be the plane they get on at 6am). That flight has been delayed over an hour because of the nasty thunderstorms here. I really hope it gets off, otherwise I doubt that they'd come down. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

Nervous...
Let me start about by saying, I am doubtful people will be reading my blogs, but I enjoying posting them.... ...Ok, I have been "lurking" in on the discussion boards...reading posts and conversions going on between girls and I am nervous about actually posting a question, or remark. Some of the girls seems to be so mean to the newbies...or anyone who may ask a slightly off base question...or a question that they feel everyone should know. It makes wanting to get involved in discussions alittle bit

Question: Travel with infant
Hi ladies - I need help! One of our good friends is getting married on memorial day weekend and we really really want to go. However, we are very nervous about travelling with our 9 months old baby. We are coming from CA - we plan to arrive in JFK - then go stay in the hotel south of Central park. We were told that we do need to take a cab to the events. How do you do car seat with the cab? we have the huge giant Britax one. Any baby friendly hotel? where to get all the baby food, diapers, etc conviniently. Also

we'll see...
tomorrow i have my consultation for laser eye surgery. i have been wanting to do this for a long, long time. i just never had the money to do it. not that i have all the money for it now...DH's insurance partially covers it! so, i think that this is a good time to at least consider this. i would love to wake up in the morning and see clearly! i have been wearing glasses/contacts since i was in 8th grade. and since we are moving to the windiest city on the planet, it might be nice not to get dry eyes
