Seriously? Christmas already?
My sister called me freaking out that my parents might come up there for Christmas when she will have her ILs and SIL already staying at her relatively small house. Seriously? Worried about Christmas? It's April!!! I love Christmas and all but this is too early for even me.

Christmas date
We spent an evening (December 2007) going downtown to see the Christmas displays and to see "The Nutcracker".

No more Christmas!!
I did it! Today, I got all of our Christmas stuff boxed up and put away in the garage. Don't get me wrong, I love decorating, and I had a blast putting it up. But, it was time for it to go. I wanted our living room (and some order!) back. I just need to wait for Andy to get home so he can store the tree for me. (For some reason, I can't get the legs off, and so it's not exactly fitting in its box.) But, I can vacuum around that box. And yesterday's rain has turned into big, soggy snowflakes. I'm

PSA ~ Target Christmas items , now at 75% off.
Not a whole big selection at Graceland (unless you are looking for a tree.) Josh said that Polaris had a bunch more stuff left (but not trees.)

I got a ring!
Engaged. I remember one of the first extensive conversations Troy and I had when we saw each other after a little over two years. We joked around about getting married and how we'd make each other sign a prenup and then I'd divorce him and take half his retirement from him. Ya, it's not that romantic, but you had to have been there to hear the conversation. It was gut busting hilarious. Now, almost a year and a half later, we're engaged. I really never thought this day would come. Obviously, every

Hope for the New Year
Our year started off horribly. I am really excited going into this new year, though. There will be lots of changes, but we are growing closer through each one--just how it should be. ^^;; For Christmas, one of the gifts I gave to my husband was something I already have, but in his native language-- The Five Love Languages and The Five Languages of Apology . We are starting with the first one, and even though we've only read and chatted about the first chapter, it's already helping us to understand

Christmas Musings with Pics!
First off, our Christmas tree! The presents here are for my family. We celebrated Christmas Eve at my parents' house. Since I hate holding onto gifts, I volunteered ours to be the ones that got passed out on Christmas Eve. I love giving gifts. :D But anyway, we had a lovely dinner there, passed out and received some presents, and then went back home to get ready for our church service at 11pm. I love going to church, so I was especially excited to be going for this. Our church was so beautifully

almost the end of the year...
i always feel that time is just flying by. when i reach the fall, i am still wondering where my summer went. when i reach the new year, i am still trying to figure out how it got to be december. i should totally expect it, but it always hits me like a ton of bricks. we got home from out little trip to southern california on thursday evening. the road trip back was a little longer than usual. i guess people were traveling home, or taking their long new year's weekends up north to the bay. i had to

The wedding shopping has begun! Or...Yay! Christmas is Over!
We did it. Christmas is over. I have never wanted Christmas to be over before it ever began. But it is seriously slowing my wedding planning! We have just one more Christmas before our wedding. I bet I'll be pulling a Bridezilla Grinch next year. I can already see it: "Grandma! Why did you spend so much on presents! You know my wedding is next month!" "Sister! Stop eating that fudge! You have to fit in your bridesmaid dress next month, you know!" "Dad, you better learn table manners before my wedding

Post - Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas, spending time with both of our families, giving gifts, getting up before dawn with the girls Christmas morning and then all heading back to bed by 7 a.m., & of course, eating holiday food! I'm off today - hurray! But, trying to find the motivation to accomplish something today. I should clean. I should once again attempt to organize this home office (I've been saying that for months). I should begin preparations of a big-home-cooked meal for DH who had to go into

Back to work after Christmas...ughh!!
Well...the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over, part of me is sad as usual that it came and went so fast but the other part of me is relieved because it's always such a hectic time of year leading up to it and the day of...all the shopping and running around leaves you exhausted...as I'm sure we all know the feeling well. This Christmas was a bit less crazy then last year at least. Me and my fiance (well boyfriend at the time), moved in together 2 weeks before Christmas last year...probably not
