Just feel like writing...
I really don't have anything significant to say, but I kind of feel like I do. Good times, good times. I'm actually feeling okay today. I went to bed super late, but I feel alright. It also helps that the day has been going by pretty quickly. Also, I'm pretty stoked about the keyboard tray I had installed on my desk. XD It already feels much better, and it helps me to sit with better posture. Woohoo! No carpal tunnel for me! Also, my thermometer came in. :3 I have mixed feelings, lol. Part of me

Just some babble.
I've again made some adjustments to my diet (diet as in what I eat, not diet as in what I am doing to lose weight since I am definitely not trying to lose). --For lunches, I will be packing more tuna sandiches (light chunk on yummy 22-grain whole wheat) and green leafy salads. Yum! I was never, ever a tuna fan growing up, but I've learned to like it within the past year or so. Gotta get my good fish servings in! We don't eat a whole lot of fish at home, but when we do, it's usually salmon. Salmon

My Poor hubby
Has been working on fixing a slow leak in our basement as a result of our 1/2 bathroom renovation. The previous owners did a half asked job, and now DH is trying to fix their mistakes...it's not been a fun night. Poor guy! =0( I told him to just call a plumber and we'll get it taken care of..nope my baby's not a quitter...lol he's been at this since he got home at 2:30 it's now 9:40 and he's still at it! I asked if there was anything I could do to help, and he replied go put your feet up, and get

Seriously, I love my husband.
So like yesterday, I have BOTB like woh today. It's just really neat because now, I am feeling a lot of anticipation. This will sound corny, but my heart keeps fluttering at the thought of discovering we're expecting (and I've been examined many times--it's not a murmur! ^.~). I checked last night to see if I was on my last pack or if I had one left, and I do have one left. I've kept thinking about it, and I very shyly emailed my husband today (no prviacy here!) asking him if it would be okay if

In-Laws in the Hospital
On Friday, my husband sudden had an inclination to call his family. He called his mother first and wondered why her voice sounded a little different, so he then called his sister. She informed him that she was in the hospital because she had been hit by a car. Now you don't understand...being hit by a car in Korea usually means YOU physically being hit. She was hit by one of those motorcycle/speed bike things and had been in the hospital for about a week before we found out. My husband proceeds to

Interview with Life Time
So my husband is interviewing with Life Time right now to try to start a TKD program there. I tried to practice interview questions with him last night since he's never done a job interview in English, but I think I was just making it harder for him. I just told him to relax and be himself, don't sound like a robot in the end. I'm really anxious to hear back from him! Obviously, he wouldn't be offered a job on the spot since he still needs to fill out a formal application and do a background check,

Good Friday and Easter
The weekend was interesting, to say the very least. My husband and I went to the Good Friday service at our church. It wasn't anything particularly special, but there was one part of the message that really hit home with me and was exactly what I needed after some recent struggles. Pastor Brent spoke partly on the idea of suffering for Christ and taking joy in it. Being a devout Christian for many years now, I had always equated suffering for Christ with "real" suffering, like missionaries do in

A Bit of Randomness for a Friday
Let's start out cheery. On Wednesday, I went to church to see what the Jr. High Youth Group was like, to see if it really is my calling since being recruited at the Women's Breakaway last Saturday. My goodness, it's either that 7th and 8th grade is a whole different ball game now, or MN and OH are seriously that different. I think it's a little bit of both. But anyway, even with just a group of ten girls, it was just insane seeing how different their personalities were. I am "gifted" with a seriously

Birthday Blues
I don't like my birthday. I'm not saying I don't like the fact that I was born on this day, but I don't like the whole hype around, "Happy Birthday!" I took my birthday down from facebook because I knew I'd get upset that a whole bunch of strangers (not complete strangers, but people who I am not quite so familiar with) would send well-wishes, but those who might even refer to me as their "best friend" won't even call. I've just had some bad birthdays the past several years. I don't get upset at

Oh, Happy Day!
I've turned my husband into a Johnny Depp fan. I feel victorious. When Sweeney Todd hit theaters, I had mentioned to him that I really wanted to see it, but I knew we'd be wasting money and that he'd just fall asleep. Thus, I've waited patiently for him to... acquire it with Korean subtitles. Last night, he suddenly felt compelled to download it. We just watched it a bit ago, and even once we reached the end, he wasn't so sure he liked it. Once we started delving deeper into what its message was

Coincidence? No way.
We are certainly being taken care of. Back in December, I received my job offer to work for Target.com. Shortly thereafter, my husband's boss decided that the school he is working at doesn't have enough profit with his salary, so starting January, they would cut back his salary. January comes, and we learn that right after I start my job, my husband is being converted to a part-time worker, which obviously means less money. We're still okay at this point with our roles as breadwinner being reversed.

Random Lunch Musings
My husband is short of seriously never checking the mail again. He doesn't want to feel disappointment every single time he opens the mailbox, so he's starting to leave it to me (gee, thanks!). I don't mind it, but I obviously share the same emotions with him. I called immigration on Tuesday, thanks to them having a nice holiday on Monday (don't get me started), and I was told exactly what I knew I would be told: keep waiting. At least everything is still fine. We're not stuck in name check or anything,

Routine "Enhancements"
I've added some music to my daily stretching! For my morning stretches, I've started listening to more techno type music. Thus far, it's been Cosmic Ally's Techno Nation Corea . For my bedtime stretches, I'm toning it down. I was going to try to find some Korean traditional music, but instead, I whipped out Yiruma's From the Yellow Room --some nice, melodic piano music. It's neat to see how adding a little music adds to your routine. ^^;; Moreover, I've been trying to make sure I have a glass of

The Last Two Hours--Him: Cars. Me: Babies
Seriously! We had what we would classify as a busy Sunday, so when we came home, all we both wanted was computer time to ourselves. He's been looking at cars for the past couple of hours (we're looking to get a second car since my new job complicates things), while I've been reading up on tips for preparing to TTC, tips for TTC, pregnancy suggestions and goodies on bringing baby home. My biological clock's alarm is going off big time today! Before we got married, we said we'd like to be married for

Sometimes, a girl just needs to cry.
I've felt super sensitive the past few days. I just barely touched a hot pan with the middle of my finger during lunch and nearly started bawling yesterday. Today, I just couldn't stop thinking about a lot fo things while preparing dinner, and I finally just let loose: started yelling about how stupid immigration is, how unfair it is that two people who are so in love have to go through this ordeal while others are granted immediate citizenship for various reasons, sob, sob, sob. Right now, I feel

Getting settled in.
So we moved out of our old place on October 31st, were homeless for 24 hours, then moved in to our new place yesterday. A few things have started to take shape, but otherwise, we have a huge mess ahead of us. @__@ All that really matters, though, is that our new bed is super luxurious. :D Tomorrow, we head up to St. Paul for his biometrics appointment. I've been excited for this since it feels like we are getting closer and closer to being done with it all (for two years, anyway). Hopefully, everything

It's been a while...
since my last post - about a month or so actually. I guess life got busy or I got lazy, or maybe a little of both. Hubby is doing really great in nursing school, although it's been a challenge to say the least. His first professor was ill prepared for the semester which caused so many problems that the students were practically revolting and had to organize discussions with the professor and the dean since almost all of the students were failing class. Luckily all of their hard work paid off and

Post Weekend Blahs
I'm bummed the weekend is over and it's only Tuesday. We had so much going on this weekend so of course it flew by. Cousins came over to say goodbye (they're moving out of state) and give us back a ton of baby gear they borrowed. Where the hell am I supposed to put all of that stuff now that it's back. I've got a nephew that's pregnant as well as the babysitter both of whom we've offered to loan stuff too... but each one has had a baby shower and been given a lot of what we would loan them. So now

Do I Really Have To Work
It was SO nice to have a three day weekend. I got home around 4:35 on Friday last week and started my long weekend. I had time to go for a walk with Hubby and the baby, make dinner, play for a bit, put the baby to bed, relax and blog and watch TV. Saturday, Sunday and Monday were much the same. We had three great days of family time, and they felt so full and busy and then... Tuesday arrived. While it was a rather mellow day at work it was still a total bummer to be there. In fact when it's slow

If it's not one thing, it's another...
Two months ago I was going through some extreme health issues that had a bit of a ripple affect. I was diagnosed with gallstones, not a major deal but they were causing attacks of pain and therefor require surgery. Before I could even make it to my scheduled surgery, I somehow ended up with pancreatitis caused by my gallstones. This is a pain I would never wish on my worst enemy, and I'm pretty sure I remember correctly, is worse than labor pains. My pancreatitis was so severe that my husband had
