This was one of my favorite pictures of us for a long time. I never intended for it to look "patriotic". On his couch he had a fireman throw (he was a firefighter in his late teens and early 20s). It just was perfectly centered.
We're about to leave to go to his best bud's wedding. We had been dating for 4 months at this point He actually caught the garter, but it took 8 more months before he proposed to me!

This is our furbaby! Her name is lil' Bits. She sealed the deal with our relationship. She hates everyone. When I first met my husband, she would hiss at me and slap at me. She really hated me. One evening I was laying on the couch while my future husband was cooking for me and she jumped up and cuddled with me. I didn't know what to do because 20 minutes earlier she tried to bite me. I just let her snuggle and she's been my baby ever since!
